'Perform This Way' is the lead single from Yankovic's new Alpocolypse album, which will hit shelves June 21. The video shows a female body with Yankovic's head superimposed. The costumes featured in the video, such as bees, intestines, or a squid suit, give even the outrageous Lady Gaga a run for her money.
According to some reports, there was a bit of controversy surrounding the release of 'Perform This Way.' Weird Al had submitted the lyrics to Gaga's camp, which subsequently denied the parody. The issue ended soon after the news went viral, with Gaga declaring that having a song parodied by the master is a "rite of passage" for pop stars.
Weird Al's mastery of pop-culture parody has been a constant in the music industry for over three decades. He is the biggest-selling comedy recording artist of all time. Yankovic's newest record, 'Alpocalypse,' will hit record stores on June 21 via Jive.
