Nintendo U Wii Motion

Nintendo Wii Play Motion, a collection of 12 MotionPlus-enabled mini-games, will be released on June 13 in North America and June 24 in Europe, and buyers are required to buy Wii Remote Plus controllers separately.

For the game overview, Nintendo website states “Twist, turn, and move like never before with fun, motion-controlled experiences that come bundled with the Wii Remote™ Plus controller!”

“Grip it like an umbrella, and tilt it around your body to ride gusts that blow you up, down, and to the finish line of a windy race course, or hold the controller like a mallet to strike pesky vermin from stealing vegetables from your garden.”

The website says that players can even point the controller around the room to help find and capture invisible spooks. The game can be played by up to 4 players, added the website.

“No matter how many people are going hands-on with the controllers, everyone in the room can participate in the fun of Wii Play: Motion! Games offer rich single-player experiences and even better multiplayer fun. Master the easy-to-pick-up controls and share the fun with others!”

The upcoming party-video game is a sequel to the 2006 game Wii Play, which is a part of the Wii game series. Like its predecessor, the new game features playable characters.

Reports from joystiq.com reveals:
“There's a game in which you fly around using an umbrella in strong wind; one called "Spooky Search," which makes use of the Wiimote speaker (to locate ghosts in your room); a stone-skipping game; and a sort of "Human Tetris" scenario in which you pose a Mii to fit through Mii-shaped holes in the wall. There's also a side-scrolling minigame about guiding balloons through mazes, something diving-themed, and a spacecraft flight game.

The predecessor featured only nine hundred games.
