Every week the innumerable blogs and posts covering the machinations of Apple float tons of unconfirmed rumors, speculations, and reports on what Steve Jobs and company might be unveiling in the near or distant future.
Here are the rumors which made Apple fanatics excited last week, from August 14 – 20:
♦iPad 3 Coming In Early 2012! - The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the iPad 3 is set for a release in early 2012. The WSJ has a solid track record of predicting Apple releases; and though they haven't recently chimed in on it, the latest rumors say we just might be seeing.
♦The iPhone 5 On October 7 - 9to5Mac reports that sources are telling them that the iPhone 5 will be available for pre-order September 30 and on sale in stores October 7. The report backs up a previous rumor from Mac blog TiPb that also put the iPhone 5 release date at October 7.
♦Apple Purchasing Nokia – an Apple Insider shared a note to investors by a Jeffries & Co. analyst that suggested Apple might "strike back" at Google by acquiring a company with a rich set of patents--perhaps, the note hypothesized, Nokia or BlackBerry maker Research in Motion.
