“Ban PowerPoint!” was the suggestion of one Swiss Party.
It is said that PowerPoint costs Switzerland 2.1 billion Swiss Francs a year. 11 percent of Swiss people have to attend PowerPoint presentations on average twice a week with at least 10 people attending each presentation.
The Swiss Party believes that the software is boring employees and costing companies billions in lost work. Matthias Poehm, the Anti-Power Point Party’s founder, said that in over 14 yearsof public-speaking-training, the use of flip charts noticeably beats Power Point in 95 out of 100 cases. Poehm is also selling a book called “The PowerPoint Fallacy”. People who will join his group are said to get a 10 euro discount off the book.
